The Final Day of the Elf on the Shelf: Zippy Attends the Birth of Jesus

God love Mary. She had no other choice but to go au natural, and she was clearly more au natural than even the crunchiest granola mama I know. The poor woman had to give birth in a barn, surrounded by barn animals. I didn't even want to be surrounded by my own husband when I was in labor. Come to think of it though, I was making some barn animal noises so maybe she felt more at home giving birth there than she would have under more sterile circumstances.

Either way, that's where she became a mom (Thankfully Zippy was there to be her amazing doula, obviously). And no matter where you became a mom; from an OR, to a hospital bed, to a birthing center, to a big tub, to your own bed, to an effing barn, or maybe you became a mommy by growing a little bundle in your heart until you could go and get them from wherever,  no matter what you celebrate or how you celebrate, the Surprise Momma family hopes you have a lovely little holiday surrounded by lots of family and friends and loved ones. And we hope that your kids don't wake up on Christmas Eve and throw you shade like this:

If Santa is greeted by that face tonight, I think it's safe to say he'll be scurrying his chubby little arse back up the electric fireplace.

Merry Christmas!
